The LiuGong 6120E single drum vibratory roller is a 20-ton class compactor designed for heavy-duty road and infrastructure compaction. It is powered by a Shangchai SC7H210.1G2 turbocharged, water-cooled six-cylinder diesel engine rated at 155 kW (208 hp / 211 ps) @ 2,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 937 N·m.
The compaction system delivers a centrifugal force range of 380 / 320 kN with a nominal amplitude range of 2.0 / 1.3 mm and a vibration frequency range of 28 / 32 Hz across two amplitude settings. The 2,130 mm wide drum and 469 N/cm static linear drum load support efficient coverage, while the 20,000 kg operating mass is distributed evenly with 10,000 kg on the vibrating drum and 10,000 kg on the drive axle.
A mechanical transmission provides three forward speed ranges of 2.7 km/h, 5.2 km/h and 11 km/h, and the articulated hydraulic steering with a ± 35° steering angle and a 7,000 mm minimum outside turning radius keeps the machine maneuverable.
